Hi Friends! It’s been over a week since my last post, so sorry! I’ve been busy with a few projects, and one in particular that is finally coming to a close this week. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a few posts with the hashtag #projectcoachhouse.
This project is one of those super fun opportunities, when your client is willing to really GO FOR IT with the design and decorating. This special little coach house is for guests of the family, and it’s part of a gorgeous historic property (read: lots of charm and old radiators) about 30 minutes north of Chicago.
I’ve been striving to create a space with a boutique hotel feel. A real mix of high and low pieces, luxury and vintage – with a definite bohemian edge. Each room with its own unique feel. Here are inspiration images for the overall vibe:
I want to share two of the original design boards for the project with you today. The first board is for the guest room for children. The design language for the guest room is bohemian/playful/vintage. The second board is for the petite kitchen. The design language for the kitchen is modern/rustic/farmhouse. There are source links following each board.
- Anthropologie Wildfield Bedding
- Serena & Lily French Tassel Curtains
- Everything else is vintage!
- I recommend MegMade locally for repainted and repurpose furniture.
- CB2 Counter Height Table
- Del Monte Bar Stools
- Loloi Rug – to the trade
- Schoolhouse Electric Vega 3 Light Fixture
- IKEA Glassware
- I recommend handmade rustic shelving locally from Foundre Furnishings
- Paint colors by Farrow & Ball – Cornforth White & Cinder Rose
What do you think so far? Are you ready to be a #projectcoachhouse guest? Not convinced? Stay tuned and I’ll share a few more design boards.
XO – CLAIRE
