With the end of the year fast approaching, we’ve been thinking about a meaningful way for us, as a business, to give back to our community. This past spring, our team had the opportunity to do a volunteer day at Humble Design, an incredible nonprofit that changes lives and communities by furnishing the homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness. We believe that having a space that functions, feels like home, and reflects you and your family is so impactful and we love that Humble Design helps give that opportunity to those who might not otherwise have it.
The statistics show that the work Humble Design does dramatically increases the chances that people remain in housing long term. We love supporting their work and so we are partnering with them to host a donation event for our clients and friends! Keep reading to find out how you can get involved.
What: On December 10th, we will do a mass donation of home furnishings and accessories to the Humble Design warehouse. This is a great opportunity to clear out gently used items that you no longer need! Our friends at Schlep have agreed to provide a truck to transport all the donations to the Humble Design warehouse, so all you need to do is drop off your donations to our studio before December 10th.
When: We can accept donations any time between 10am-4pm Monday through Thursday before December 10th.
Where: Our studio is located at 2847 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60657.
Items to Donate: Check out this list to see what items can be accepted: Donation Cheat Sheet
We hope you will join us so we can STUFF THIS TRUCK !!!
