Designer tips for a curated holiday table (and some of our favorite links in stories):

1. Use what you have! Dust off the china you registered for (and rarely use) or pull out pieces you inherited.

2. Mix and match! Don’t reach for the whole matching set - grab one or two components that you can mix with more modern or new-to-you vintage pieces.

3. Browse your local vintage shop. I swing by Secret Treasures (Evanston) often, as they have tons of vintage china and are always putting out new merchandise.

4. Lastly, mix patterns and colors. Having a mismatched collection of tableware creates a layered, curated look.
