Styling Lesson: Holiday Table Top Ideas

November 21, 2015

Decorating and styling the table is definitely my favorite part of the holiday prepping process – I’m not the greatest cook : ) I love creating a look that’s elegant, artful and does not scream Thanksgiving (#orange + #pumpkins). Here are a few excellent holiday table top ideas from some of my favorite resources:

Romantic: Cabbage roses, burlap, berries, driftwood and lamb’s ear. Take notes from the experts at Natalie Bowen Designs and create a tablescape that feel romantic and autumnal.

Glamorous: Artichokes, eucalyptus, pears, feathers and gourds. Sticking with one color palette allows you to go bold elsewhere. This black and gold table looks stunning paired with a green centerpiece. This article from Domino Magazine online has some wonderful holiday table concepts.

Modern: Terrarium, moss, kale, ranunculus, hypercium berry. CB2 knows a bit about modern decor, and they enlisted the help of local florist The Foxglove Studio to create this adorable terrarium centerpiece. They even have a step-by-step guide to show you how to create it!

New Traditional: Fall colored leaves, natural woven placemats + some creativity. If you just don’t feel right without those recognizable thanksgiving colors, I love this centerpiece idea with fake leaves. It’s perfect if you’ve got a chandelier over the dining table and is probably the quickest and most cost effective option on this list! Style Caster has a few other traditional cute/crafty ideas too.

Here’s an older table top decor post with a DIY on how to complete the look with natural greenery.

I hope you have a safe, delicious and beautiful Thanksgiving. Much love to you and yours!
